Stay on TREND this SUMMER with BA&SH’s bold floral collection.
In keeping with this season’s accents, carried so beautifully by the Duchess of Sussex in the Oscar de la Renta floral wrap dress she wore to one of her first official engagements, Ba&sh’s collection is an explosion of bright colours and of fresh blooms.
The designs are bold and colourful but retain a cool and relaxed vibe.
The collection is reminiscent of a pleasant summer garden with minty greens, poppy reds, pinks, lemon yellows, lavender and royal blues.
Pastel shades bring softness and peacefulness whilst the classic navy, red and off whites underpin the sport chic nature of the collection.
The pieces in the collection are rich in the contrast of textures. From matte fabrics to shiny satins, the combinations are daring and work well.
The prints mostly draw their inspiration from the heart of Asia. Japanese cherry blossoms and traditional Chinese patterns are here reinterpreted in delicate silks and crimping materials.
Prints designed for the height of summer are mainly on cottons or light cotton nettings with the suggestion of more ethnic patterns and Indian cashmeres.
Three personalities have been chosen to be our muses this season: Jacqueline Bisset, cinema icon, incarns to perfection elegance and natural class. The French-American actress Camille Rowe with a half Parisian, half Californian appearance inspires through her cool, fresh, bohemian and feminine style. The Gypsy rock and glamour style of American top model Grace Hartzel, who has a wild and luminous face, imposes itself through her young style and brings us a different viewpoint on the collection.
Sunny and French, Ba&sh’s Spring-Summer 2018 series offers a parade of particularly cool and elaborated looks. We still find there all the codes of Ba&sh’s universe while suggesting new ideas, silhouettes with edgy styling associations
The Ba&sh SS18 collection is available in stores now.
