Bolshoi Soloists Ivan Vasiliev and Maria Vinogradova performed alongside first Emirati Ballerina Alia Al Neyadi to close the Abu Dhabi Classics season.
Led by Bolshoi Soloists Ivan Vasiliev and Maria Vinogradova from the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, alongside the first Emirati ballerina Alia Al Neyadi, Le Corsaire Ballet captivated audiences on Friday 20 April in the atmospheric grandeur of Emirates Palace, providing a graceful final bow for the tremendously successful Abu Dhabi Classics season 2017/18.
Brought to the UAE under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and produced by FLASH Entertainment, the Abu Dhabi Classics programme has successfully welcomed scores of classical music enthusiasts to concerts across some of Abu Dhabi’s most distinctive venues.
The upcoming performance spans three acts – The Marketplace, The Cave and The Seraglio – that chronicles the tale of Conrad, chief of the pirates and his love interest Medora, a young Greek woman. The performers will collectively bring to life iconic theatrical renditions of romance and adventure from Le Corsaire, a pirate tale and classical heritage ballet based on Lord Byron’s poem.
Tickets for the season’s last concert are on sale with prices starting from AED 205 at www.ticketmaster.ae and all Virgin Megastores across the UAE, with different categories.
