The award winning Market Kitchen at Le Royal Meridien in Abu Dhabi is already well-known for its unique concept ‘From Market to Kitchen’, a hugely successful event for foodies and cuisine enthusiasts to learn to shop like chefs and create amazing dishes of their own, under the guidance of the Market Kitchen’s great chefs.
And so, when we heard of the Market Kitchen’s Lunch Box concept we were excited and knew we needed to give it a try. The concept promises a fine and balanced lunch in the space of 30 minutes. 30 minutes? At The Luxe Diary, we set the bar high for chic lunch solutions – but we can assure you that the Market Kitchen certainly did not disappoint.
The smart and simple menu was well planned with each appetiser pairing well with the entrée options. Our choices? The butternut squash soup with seared oyster mushroom followed by the fettuccine pasta with basil pistachio pesto, cherry tomatoes and haricots verts.
The soup was light and creamy – a perfect mise en bouche for the pasta which was as authentic Italian as you could ask for. The pistachio pesto was light and full of flavour and the tomatoes and haricots verts added that touch of freshness that complemented the pasta to perfection.
All this was served in under 30 minutes and with elegant, swift service. The Market Kitchen delivered beautifully and is definitely one that we would recommend for short team lunches or for a sassy midday catch up with friends. A super solution!
The price is AED 75++ per person and includes complimentary wifi for those wishing to stay connected.
The Market Kitchen is open for daily for lunch from 12.00 to 16.00 and for dinner from 19.00 to 23.00.
